These Membership Terms and Conditions apply to the complimentary Supporter Membership and paid VIP Membership offered by Adelaide Networking Connections.

1. About Adelaide Networking Connections

Adelaide Networking Connections is operated by K.L Fiedler & R.J Fiedler, trading as Adelaide Networking Connections, ABN 26 680 128 392, referred to in these Terms as “ANC”, “we”, “our” or “us”.

The individual or organisation applying for membership is referred to as “the Member”, “you” or “your”.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By submitting a membership application, paying a membership fee, attending an event as a Member or accessing a membership benefit, you confirm that:

  • you have read and agree to these Terms;

  • you have read and agree to our Privacy Policy;

  • the information supplied in your membership application is accurate;

  • you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement; and

  • if applying on behalf of a business or organisation, you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Membership begins when ANC accepts your application and, for a paid membership, receives the applicable payment.

3. Purpose of Membership

ANC provides business networking, community engagement, professional development and promotional opportunities.

Our memberships are intended to help Members:

  • build genuine professional relationships;

  • increase their personal and business visibility;

  • connect with Adelaide business owners, professionals and decision-makers;

  • participate in networking events and business activities;

  • access educational and promotional opportunities;

  • discover referral, partnership and collaboration opportunities; and

  • become part of a supportive local business community.

Membership does not create an employment, agency, partnership, franchise, joint venture, fiduciary or representative relationship between ANC and a Member.

4. Membership Options

ANC offers two membership levels:

  • Complimentary Supporter Membership

  • VIP Membership

The benefits included with each membership are described on the ANC website and in the membership information provided when the Member applies.

5. Complimentary Supporter Membership

The Supporter Membership is complimentary and is suitable for regular attendees, start-ups, professionals, individuals and business owners who want to remain connected with the ANC community.

Supporter Membership currently includes:

  • guaranteed access to 11 ANC events each year, subject to registration requirements and these Terms;

  • a 5% discount on selected workshops and seminars;

  • one introductory social media post across selected ANC platforms;

  • monthly entry into the Supporter Member Business Giveaway;

  • a professionally printed reusable name badge; and

  • opportunities to build relationships and connect with the ANC community.

Although Supporter Membership is complimentary, Members may still be required to register for individual events.

Separate fees may apply to certain workshops, seminars, special events, food, beverages or other services.

6. VIP Membership

The VIP Membership is designed for Members who want greater visibility, ongoing promotion and additional opportunities to showcase their business and expertise.

The introductory VIP Membership price is:

$99 for the remainder of 2026

The standard annual VIP Membership price is normally:

$199 per year

The introductory $99 VIP Membership expires on 31 December 2026, regardless of the date on which the Member joins during the offer period.

VIP Membership includes all applicable Supporter Membership benefits, together with:

  • a 10% discount on selected workshops and seminars;

  • three guaranteed Business Spotlight opportunities each year at ANC networking events;

  • first opportunities to apply for the Members & Guests Showcase;

  • a certificate of membership;

  • a business listing in the ANC Member Directory;

  • priority consideration for sponsorship opportunities; and

  • priority consideration for workshop and seminar presentations.

Quarterly Promotional Package

During each applicable quarter of an active VIP Membership, the Member may receive:

  • one promotional social media post;

  • one blog feature;

  • one 10-minute interview on the Podcast City Radio Business & Lifestyle Network;

  • rotation of the interview on the internet radio station;

  • publication of the interview as an episode of The Adelaide Networking Connections Podcast;

  • visual content to support social media promotion; and

  • one professionally edited video soundbite for the Member’s own marketing.

For the introductory membership covering the remainder of 2026, quarterly benefits apply to the quarters falling within the active membership period and do not apply retrospectively to quarters occurring before the Member joined.

Annual Professional Promotional Video

VIP Members may also receive one professionally produced promotional video, or an agreed collection of promotional clips, with a total finished duration of up to five minutes per full annual membership period.

This may include:

  • planning and structuring the Member’s message;

  • scripting support where required;

  • professional recording and production;

  • professional editing and delivery;

  • access to a teleprompter; and

  • recording at Podcast City or at an approved location.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, on-location recording is limited to a reasonable location within metropolitan Adelaide. Additional travel, venue or production expenses may apply and will be disclosed and agreed upon before work begins.

The promotional video may be suitable for:

  • social media;

  • the Member’s website;

  • email marketing;

  • business presentations; and

  • approved ANC platforms.

7. Membership Applications

Membership is subject to acceptance by ANC.

ANC may reasonably accept or decline an application where necessary to:

  • protect the safety, reputation or integrity of the ANC community;

  • prevent unlawful, fraudulent, misleading or inappropriate activity;

  • manage a genuine conflict of interest;

  • comply with legal, venue, insurance or operational requirements; or

  • ensure the applicant’s activities are reasonably aligned with ANC’s purpose and values.

If ANC declines a paid application, the membership fee will be refunded unless the applicant owes another properly payable amount to ANC.

Membership is personal to the accepted individual, business or organisation and cannot be transferred without written approval from ANC.

Membership does not provide industry or business-category exclusivity.

8. Membership Period and Renewal

Supporter Membership continues until it is cancelled by the Member or ended by ANC in accordance with these Terms.

The introductory $99 VIP Membership expires on 31 December 2026.

Before expiry, ANC may invite the Member to renew at the price and on the terms disclosed in the renewal offer.

Membership will not automatically renew, and ANC will not automatically charge a renewal fee, unless the Member has separately and expressly authorised automatic renewal.

Future prices and membership benefits may change. Any changes will be disclosed before the Member agrees to renew.

9. Using Membership Benefits

Members are responsible for actively booking, claiming and participating in their benefits.

To receive promotional benefits, the Member must provide requested information, materials and approvals within a reasonable timeframe, including:

  • accurate business information;

  • a high-resolution logo;

  • a suitable professional photograph;

  • website and social media links;

  • promotional copy or business information;

  • interview, recording or presentation availability; and

  • timely approval of prepared material.

ANC will make reasonable efforts to remind VIP Members about their available benefits. However, the Member remains responsible for arranging and redeeming those benefits before the membership expires.

Benefits that are not booked or used before the expiry date will ordinarily expire unless:

  • the Member made a reasonable and timely attempt to arrange the benefit, but ANC was unable to provide it; or

  • ANC agrees in writing to extend the benefit.

Membership benefits:

  • cannot be exchanged for cash;

  • cannot ordinarily be transferred to another person or business;

  • cannot be combined with another offer unless ANC agrees;

  • are subject to reasonable scheduling and availability; and

  • must be used for the approved Member’s business or professional activities.

10. Fees and Payment

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable unless stated otherwise.

The Member agrees to pay the applicable membership fee using an approved payment method.

Any unavoidable third-party processing fee will be disclosed before payment where required.

ANC may change its membership prices for future membership periods. A future price change will not retrospectively alter the price of an existing paid membership.

A VIP Membership will not be activated until:

  • the membership application has been accepted; and

  • payment has been successfully received.

11. Cancellations and Refunds

A Member may cancel their membership at any time by contacting ANC in writing at info@podcastcity.com.au.

No refund applies to a complimentary Supporter Membership.

For VIP Membership:

  • a Member may request cancellation within seven days of purchase if no VIP benefit has been booked, used, produced or supplied;

  • approved refunds may be reduced by reasonable payment-processing charges that ANC cannot recover;

  • after the seven-day period, membership fees are generally non-refundable for change of mind;

  • if a benefit has already been supplied or production work has commenced, ANC may deduct the reasonable value of that benefit or work from any refund otherwise payable; and

  • nothing in these Terms excludes any refund, remedy or other right available under the Australian Consumer Law.

If ANC cancels a paid membership without fault by the Member, ANC will provide a reasonable remedy. Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • continuing benefits that have already been booked;

  • providing an alternative benefit;

  • extending the membership; or

  • providing a proportionate refund.

12. Event Registration and Attendance

Membership does not remove the requirement to register for an event where registration is requested.

Guaranteed event access means ANC will use reasonable efforts to reserve access for eligible Members who register by the stated Member deadline.

Guaranteed access does not apply where:

  • the Member does not register by the deadline;

  • the Member arrives after admission has closed;

  • the event is cancelled, postponed or relocated;

  • admission would breach a law, licence, venue condition or safety direction;

  • the Member is seriously intoxicated, disruptive or presents a safety risk; or

  • circumstances outside ANC’s reasonable control prevent attendance.

Members must comply with reasonable directions from:

  • ANC representatives;

  • venue management;

  • security personnel; and

  • emergency services.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Members are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, parking, food, beverages and related expenses.

13. Promotional Services

ANC will use reasonable care when preparing Member promotions, interviews, articles, videos and other content.

ANC may edit Member-supplied material for:

  • spelling and grammar;

  • clarity and length;

  • formatting;

  • technical quality; and

  • consistency with ANC’s branding and platform requirements.

ANC will not intentionally change the material meaning of Member-supplied content without consultation.

ANC does not guarantee:

  • a particular number of views, listeners or followers;

  • social media reach or engagement;

  • search-engine rankings;

  • enquiries, referrals, customers, revenue or sales;

  • publication on a particular date unless agreed in writing;

  • uninterrupted availability of content;

  • approval or continued publication by a third-party platform; or

  • any specific business or financial outcome.

Priority consideration for a showcase, sponsorship, workshop, seminar or presentation does not guarantee selection.

Guaranteed Business Spotlight opportunities remain subject to reasonable scheduling, appropriate content and the Member’s timely cooperation.

14. Member Directory

Where a Member agrees to be listed, ANC may publish approved information in the ANC Member Directory, including:

  • the Member’s name;

  • position or professional title;

  • business or organisation name;

  • business description;

  • business logo;

  • professional photograph;

  • business phone number;

  • business email address;

  • website;

  • social media links; and

  • business suburb or service area.

ANC will not knowingly publish a Member’s private residential address, ABN or private contact information without the Member’s express permission.

The Member is responsible for advising ANC when their directory information changes.

ANC may remove or temporarily suspend a directory listing where:

  • the information is inaccurate or outdated;

  • the content breaches these Terms;

  • the membership has expired or been cancelled;

  • a legal or intellectual property complaint is received; or

  • removal is reasonably necessary to protect ANC or another person.

15. Member Content and Intellectual Property

The Member retains ownership of their pre-existing:

  • business name;

  • trade marks;

  • logo;

  • photographs;

  • written material;

  • presentations;

  • audio and video; and

  • other intellectual property supplied to ANC.

The Member grants ANC a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, edit, format, publish, communicate and display that material for:

  • administering the membership;

  • preparing Member benefits;

  • promoting the Member;

  • promoting ANC events and activities;

  • reporting on ANC activities; and

  • maintaining reasonable business and promotional archives.

This licence applies during the membership and for a reasonable archival period afterwards.

The Member warrants that:

  • they own the supplied material or have permission to use it;

  • ANC’s authorised use will not infringe another person’s rights;

  • the information is accurate and not misleading;

  • the content is not unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene or deceptive; and

  • all required permissions have been obtained from identifiable people appearing in the material.

ANC retains ownership of its:

  • name and branding;

  • website content;

  • templates and designs;

  • event formats;

  • original recordings and productions;

  • graphics;

  • written material; and

  • other original intellectual property.

A Member must not use ANC’s name, logo or branding in a manner that falsely suggests sponsorship, partnership, approval or endorsement.

16. Photography, Audio and Video Recording

ANC events may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed or audio recorded.

ANC will take reasonable steps to notify attendees where recording is taking place.

By attending after receiving that notice, the Member agrees that their image, voice or appearance may be incidentally captured and used for:

  • event coverage;

  • websites;

  • social media;

  • newsletters;

  • presentations;

  • podcasts;

  • radio programs;

  • promotional videos; and

  • ANC marketing.

A Member who does not wish to be photographed or recorded should:

  1. notify ANC before the event; and

  2. make themselves known to the ANC team upon arrival.

ANC will use reasonable efforts to accommodate the request. However, ANC may not be able to prevent incidental inclusion in wide-angle, audience or crowd footage.

ANC may obtain separate consent for:

  • featured interviews;

  • testimonials;

  • dedicated Member videos; and

  • other prominent promotional content.

17. Privacy and Personal Information

ANC may collect personal information including:

  • names and contact details;

  • addresses;

  • business information;

  • ABNs;

  • photographs and recordings;

  • membership preferences;

  • payment information; and

  • event and promotional participation information.

ANC may use this information to:

  • process and administer membership;

  • communicate with Members;

  • organise events;

  • deliver membership benefits;

  • create name badges;

  • maintain the Member Directory;

  • prepare agreed promotions;

  • process payments;

  • manage safety and security;

  • improve ANC services; and

  • comply with legal obligations.

ANC will handle personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.

18. Member Conduct

Members and their representatives must behave lawfully, respectfully and professionally.

A Member must not:

  • harass, bully, threaten or discriminate against another person;

  • engage in unwanted, aggressive or misleading sales behaviour;

  • make knowingly false, malicious, defamatory or misleading statements;

  • misuse another person’s confidential or personal information;

  • send spam or add people to marketing lists without proper consent;

  • impersonate ANC or another Member;

  • engage in fraudulent, deceptive, unlawful or unsafe conduct;

  • damage a venue, equipment or another person’s property;

  • attend an event while seriously intoxicated or affected by illegal drugs;

  • disrupt an event, presentation, speaker or attendee;

  • use ANC activities to promote an unlawful product or service; or

  • act in a manner that creates a serious risk to the safety, reputation or proper operation of ANC.

Nothing in this section prevents a Member from:

  • expressing an honest opinion;

  • providing a genuine review;

  • making a truthful complaint;

  • reporting suspected misconduct;

  • obtaining professional or legal advice; or

  • communicating with police, a regulator, court, tribunal or other lawful authority.

19. Statements Made by Members and Guests

Members, speakers, sponsors, guests and contributors are responsible for their own statements, advice, representations, products and services.

Their views do not necessarily represent the views of ANC.

ANC does not routinely verify every statement made by a Member or guest and is not responsible for an independently made defamatory, misleading, unlawful or offensive statement, except to the extent that ANC is legally responsible for its own conduct.

ANC may moderate, edit or remove content from platforms it controls where it reasonably believes the content:

  • breaches these Terms;

  • infringes another person’s rights;

  • is defamatory or unlawful;

  • is misleading or deceptive;

  • creates a safety risk; or

  • is inconsistent with the legitimate purpose of the ANC community.

20. Confidentiality and Member Information

Information shared at an ANC event or activity is not automatically confidential.

A Member intending to disclose confidential or commercially sensitive information is responsible for:

  • identifying the information as confidential;

  • limiting its disclosure;

  • deciding whether a confidentiality agreement is required; and

  • obtaining independent advice where necessary.

Members must not misuse another person’s:

  • confidential information;

  • contact information;

  • intellectual property;

  • private business information; or

  • personal information.

Receiving a business card, meeting someone at an event or accessing the Member Directory does not automatically provide consent to add that person to an email, SMS or marketing database.

21. Introductions and Member Businesses

ANC facilitates introductions but does not act as an agent, broker, guarantor, adviser or representative for Members.

ANC does not guarantee or warrant the:

  • qualifications;

  • professional licences;

  • insurance;

  • financial position;

  • legal compliance;

  • character;

  • quality;

  • suitability; or

  • reliability

of a Member, speaker, sponsor, guest, venue or supplier.

Members must conduct their own enquiries and obtain appropriate independent advice before:

  • engaging another Member;

  • purchasing a product or service;

  • providing credit;

  • entering into a partnership or collaboration;

  • making an investment; or

  • relying on information received through ANC.

Any transaction or agreement between Members is solely between those parties.

ANC is not responsible for disputes, debts, losses, failed transactions or unmet expectations arising from independent dealings between Members, except to the extent caused by ANC’s own unlawful conduct.

22. General Information and Professional Advice

Event presentations, interviews, workshops, articles, podcasts, radio programs and conversations are provided for general informational purposes.

Unless expressly agreed in writing and provided by an appropriately qualified professional, ANC content does not constitute:

  • legal advice;

  • financial or investment advice;

  • taxation advice;

  • medical or health advice;

  • employment or human resources advice; or

  • other professional advice.

Members should obtain advice appropriate to their individual circumstances before making important business, financial, legal or personal decisions.

23. Health, Safety and Personal Property

Members participate in ANC events and activities at their own reasonable risk.

Members are responsible for:

  • taking reasonable care of their own health and safety;

  • complying with venue and emergency requirements;

  • safeguarding personal property;

  • notifying ANC of relevant accessibility requirements; and

  • not participating in an activity they reasonably believe is unsafe.

ANC is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property unless the loss was caused by ANC’s negligence or unlawful conduct.

A Member is responsible for damage they or their representatives intentionally or negligently cause to:

  • a venue;

  • equipment;

  • ANC property; or

  • another person’s property.

24. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, statutory right or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • ANC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss;

  • ANC is not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities, anticipated savings or reputational damage that was not reasonably foreseeable;

  • ANC is not responsible for loss caused by a Member, guest, venue, speaker, sponsor, supplier or third-party platform outside ANC’s reasonable control; and

  • where ANC is legally permitted to limit liability for services, ANC’s liability is limited, at its option, to supplying the relevant service again or paying the reasonable cost of having the service supplied again.

ANC’s liability will be reduced to the extent that the Member’s act, omission, negligence or breach contributed to the loss.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct or another matter for which the law requires ANC to remain responsible.

25. Member Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, the Member indemnifies ANC and its owners, representatives, employees and contractors against a third-party claim, liability, damage or reasonable legal cost arising directly from:

  • the Member’s unlawful or negligent act or omission;

  • the Member’s breach of these Terms;

  • content or materials supplied by the Member;

  • infringement of another person’s intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights;

  • defamatory, misleading or deceptive statements made by the Member;

  • injury or property damage caused by the Member; or

  • the Member’s products, services or independent dealings with another person.

This indemnity applies only to the extent that the claim or loss was caused or contributed to by the Member.

It does not apply to the extent that the loss was caused by ANC’s negligence, breach, wilful misconduct or unlawful act.

ANC must take reasonable steps to minimise an indemnified loss and notify the Member within a reasonable period after becoming aware of a relevant claim.

26. Suspension and Termination

ANC may issue a warning, suspend benefits or terminate a membership where a Member:

  • seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms;

  • fails to pay an amount properly due;

  • behaves unlawfully, fraudulently, abusively or dangerously;

  • creates a serious safety, reputational or operational risk;

  • misuses Member information;

  • infringes intellectual property or privacy rights; or

  • provides materially false information.

Except in cases involving serious misconduct, safety, illegality or urgent risk, ANC will ordinarily:

  1. notify the Member of the concern;

  2. provide a reasonable opportunity to respond or remedy the issue; and

  3. consider the response before making a final decision.

ANC may immediately suspend membership while investigating a serious or urgent matter.

Termination for substantiated misconduct does not automatically entitle the Member to a refund. Any refund decision will take into account:

  • applicable consumer law;

  • the seriousness of the breach;

  • the benefits already provided; and

  • reasonable costs incurred by ANC.

27. Changes to Events and Services

ANC may reasonably change an event’s:

  • date;

  • time;

  • venue;

  • speaker;

  • program; or

  • delivery format.

ANC is not responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including:

  • severe weather;

  • fire or flood;

  • public health emergencies;

  • government restrictions;

  • venue closure;

  • industrial action;

  • transport disruption;

  • power failure;

  • telecommunications or internet failure;

  • speaker illness;

  • civil disturbance; or

  • failure of a third-party platform or supplier.

Where an event or benefit is materially affected, ANC will use reasonable efforts to:

  • reschedule it;

  • provide an alternative;

  • extend the relevant benefit; or

  • offer another fair remedy appropriate to the circumstances.

28. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Members should first raise a complaint directly with ANC.

The complaint should explain:

  • what occurred;

  • the outcome being requested; and

  • any relevant supporting information.

ANC will acknowledge the complaint and use reasonable efforts to resolve it promptly and fairly.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to consider mediation in Adelaide, South Australia, before commencing court proceedings.

This does not prevent either party from:

  • seeking urgent legal relief;

  • pursuing a small claim;

  • exercising a statutory right; or

  • contacting a regulator or other lawful authority.

29. Changes to These Terms

ANC may update these Terms where reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with legal or regulatory requirements;

  • clarify an existing provision;

  • introduce or improve membership benefits;

  • address a security or operational matter; or

  • reflect reasonable changes to ANC’s services.

ANC will provide reasonable notice of any material change affecting an existing paid membership.

A change will not retrospectively remove a benefit already purchased or materially disadvantage an existing paid Member without an appropriate remedy or the Member’s agreement.

30. General Provisions

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part will be read down or removed to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue.

A failure or delay by ANC in enforcing a right does not waive that right.

A Member cannot transfer their membership rights or obligations without ANC’s written approval.

ANC may transfer this agreement as part of a genuine sale, restructure or transfer of the ANC business, provided the Member’s existing rights are not materially reduced.

These Terms, the membership description accepted at the time of application and the ANC Privacy Policy form the agreement between ANC and the Member concerning membership.

31. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and applicable Commonwealth laws of Australia.

The parties submit to the courts and tribunals having jurisdiction in South Australia.
